Very nice ambiance and the food had some hits and some misses. I came with a party of 4 and we all did the summer restaurant dinner deal. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty good. We started off with a small bite appetizer which was some nori crisps with beef tartare which was delicious. They complimented each other well texture and flavorwise. I also thought all the appetizers were good. We tried the fluke, hamachi, king crab noodle, and the hortus salad (calamari). The fluke was probably my favorite but the others were delicious as well. For the mains, I really liked the cod which is served over risotto and others also enjoyed the short rib. The duck had amazing flavors too but the meat was a bit on the tough side unfortunately. The dessert was also just okay and pretty generic. I got the matcha tiramisu which was good. The mango banana pudding others in my party got and they thought the bread wasn't soft enough but the flavors overall were good. Come Again? I wouldn't be opposed to but not trying to go back again.

Hortus was a pleasant surprise. The different kinds of sotbaps are a great concept, and delicious as well. The premium ones are a little pricey, but worth it if you're craving it. The cold noodles are actually quite good as well. Wait staff is friendly, but orders can be on the slower side.

Great classy atmosphere with well prepared, displayed and tasty fusion food. Pricey for sure, but worth the trip. Service is elegant, prompt, professional, informative, helpful and attentive in not an overbearing way.
